Las Lomitas School District Master Plan
The Las Lomitas Elementary School District includes a preschool; Las Lomitas Elementary, serving K–3; and La Entrada School, serving grades 4–8; as well as District offices. We worked closely with the District to create a master plan that reflects their need for dynamic and flexible learning environments that foster collaborative student work. The master plan responds to the need for flexibility necessary to promote healthy environments and 21st-century learning.
Building off of existing campus assets, the master plan creates outdoor learning areas that can provide much-needed program space at lower dollar investment — interactive gardens, sinks for science and art work, and an amphitheater for group learning, all of which extend the learning environment outside. A curiosity lab provides flexible, collaborative space for robotics and art. Updated design standards will be used for all future projects.
