Interface Tenant Improvements
MEP firm Interface Engineering hired WRNS Studio to design their 13,000 square foot office space located in San Francisco’s Financial District. The newly renovated space features an open office environment with break out spaces that function as individual workstations, reading lounges and conference areas. The furniture selection, large format tiles and carpet islands help define the floor plan that delineates the living room, communal style open kitchen and cork wall mixer spaces to share finished work, in-progress drawings and sketches. Additionally, the layout includes a conference room with operable partitions, which emphasize a flexible design that accommodates both intimate team meetings and a larger social gathering space that opens to the living room and kitchen area. Brightly painted surfaces make use of natural daylighting from the large, double-hung windows. The exposed HVAC system reinforces the design and transforms a simple feature into a contemporary element, while improving overall energy efficiency and supports the pursuit of LEED Platinum.
