Originally from Kansas City, a high school drafting class sparked Tim’s interest in architecture. Under the guidance of an inspiring teacher, Tim continued to develop his drawing skills and later attended Kansas State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree. Upon graduating, Tim moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he joined Flad Architects as a designer. While at Flad, Tim focused primarily on higher education and corporate projects, specifically research and technology projects in the higher-ed space. After seven years in Raleigh, Tim transferred to Flad Architect’s San Francisco office before joining WRNS Studio as a Project Architect in 2015.
Tim is inspired by architecture that employs a carefully calibrated mix of program, materials, context and thoughtful user and public interaction. For Tim, the most successful projects seamlessly blend these elements and represent each aspect equally.
