Sefako finds enthusiasm at the poles of the design process; from understanding client nuances during conceptual design to the particularity of detailing during construction documents. Yet, materiality has always been a unifying theme of her career. Earning her stripes developing client presentation boards at JJ Falk Design, she became the materials librarian and interior designer at Design Republic. As the ambassador between the firm and product reps, she supported multiple project teams with her expertise in material selection and specification, a trait she hopes to continue at WRNS. A personal aesthetic that is both modern and minimalist, she joins WRNS after designing on camera environment and office suites for NBC, CBS, and Comedy Central.
Growing up in Brooklyn, Sefako’s creative expression was honed through fine art, especially building clay models and drawing portraits.Despite her early proclivity, she pursued a Bachelor’s in English from Wellesley College. After graduation, she decided to return to her passion and earned her Associate in Interior Design from Parson School of Design. With foundational knowledge in place, she earned her Masters from Pratt Institute, favoring their conceptual approach to interior architecture and furniture design.
