Scott is a true manager of the design process — flexible, collaborative, and adaptable to new teams and ways of working. He is a strong leader, but always game to get his hands dirty and do things himself if the situation calls for it. Scott leads some of the firm’s largest projects with alternative delivery models — Design-Build, IPD, and LEAN. He engages in all aspects of a project, from management to design execution. After studying abroad in Europe, Scott developed an interest in the dynamic between old cities and new development and remains curious about how modern architecture can blend or purposefully stand out against a historical urban fabric: can a structure serve the function and aesthetic of a modern city while respecting tradition? How do you achieve either end? He has focused his career on projects that attempt to elaborate on this topic, with a portfolio that includes urban mixed-use, workplace, higher ed, health care and multi-family residential.
Prior to joining WRNS Studio, Scott was an Associate at Steffian Bradley Architects in Boston and Blue Sky Studio in Denver. He earned his Master of Architecture from Syracuse University and his Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University.
