Ross is a thought-provoking, creative architect who balances technical expertise with visual expression. He approaches projects through a multicultural lens, taking into consideration the local vernacular and how people will utilize the space. He has worked on a wide variety of building typologies and international competitions, pushing the boundaries of design. His projects and teams have been recognized with multiple design awards.
Ross joined WRNS Studio in mid-2019 with 15 years of architectural and design experience. During his prior tenure at Skidmore, Ownings & Merrill, he contributed to the design framework of projects, overseeing workplace, cultural, and civic projects. Early on, he had exposure to performing arts, education, recreation, commercial, civic, and residential projects, giving him in-depth knowledge of all phases of design. Whether designing exterior cladding systems, developing complex conceptual and schematic designs, or preparing design documentation and reports, he is able to meet compressed schedules and fluctuating project demands with tact.
Ross is a registered architect in the state of California. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from University of California, Los Angeles with a minor in German, earned his Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and was the recipient of theSCI-Arc Continuing Student Scholarship. Outside the office, he likes to cycle and hike, and visit wine country, uncovering hidden gems with his wife.
