Oorvi is an inquisitive and thoughtful designer, who brings with her, the ability to span scales while maintaining a detail-oriented approach to WRNS Studio.
Her view of the world as a colorful and diverse canvas guides her work, which is sensitive to users, integrates playful intensity, and aims to drive social progress. Oorvi honed her craft studying and working across the globe, in Canada, Japan, the United States, India and the UK. She has pursued projects in global cities that have leveraged and developed her understanding of local engagement across contexts. Her work seeks opportunities to understand, act, and grow increasingly sensitive through critical and creative thought in practice.
She enjoys working on projects that operate within a public environment. Her collaborations with offices and work on academic projects — whether developing solutions for the affordable housing crisis in Palo Alto, reconsidering the urban environment of the Eiffel Tower, designing a community space for the Sweet Water Foundation in Chicago, or designing an academic library in a historical university campus in Ahmedabad — demonstrate her interest and ability to provide visions for projects that address pressing public issues.
Oorvi joined WRNS Studio in early 2019, working on an affordable housing project in Palo Alto, where she helped conceive the winning concept. A hard-working, versatile team player, she has assumed many roles at the firm, from design research and coordination to development.
Oorvi earned her Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and her Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
