Niamh Gilmore

Designer

Niamh Gilmore has a particular interest in the interrelationship between architecture and landscape. Her Masters' thesis sought to redevelop Haulbowline — a historic British military base and industrial landfill in Cork Harbor off the coast of Ireland — into a public park. The master plan was developed in collaboration with the Irish Naval Services, who currently operates the site.

Currently, Niamh is working on the design teams of West Portal Elementary School and the master plan for the City of Rancho Cordova in Sacramento County. Prior to joining WRNS Studio, she gained experience in historic conservation, set design, industrial design, and visual merchandising in international settings — such as Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, and the US. Niam possesses a keen interest in languages and fluently speaks English, Irish, French, and Spanish.
