Max was exposed to the field of architecture at an early age, often helping his father, who is also an architect, with tasks around the office. After high school, Max left his hometown of Sacramento and travelled north to earn his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Oregon. In his fourth year of the program, Max studied abroad in Italy and Switzerland, while exploring Spain, the UK and France.
Prior to joining WRNS Studio, Max completed an internship at the California State Parks Department, where he developed an interest in public and high visibility projects. Max enjoys exploring ideas and variation through hand sketching and model making, and strives to create spaces that are both practical and intuitive. When he's not brushing up on his Italian, Max can be found on the basketball court or relentlessly cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.
