Manal is an interdisciplinary designer who approaches architecture through a cultural prism. A hands-on, visual spatial thinker, she excels at communicating design intent in both 2D and 3D, and as a knack for organizing information in a succinct and visually pleasing way for high-impact results.
Manal joined WRNS Studio in 2019 shortly after graduating from Penn State University with a Masters of Science in Architecture. Throughout her coursework, she won multiple awards and scholarships, including first place for a net-zero house concept. Today, she continues to focus on the intersection of architecture and sustainability, helping the studio realize their environmental aspirations through designing, drawing, and modeling.
Manal received her Bachelor of Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. A proponent of sharing knowledge with the broader community, she has lectured at BRAC University in Bangladesh, was a graduate teaching assistant at Penn State, volunteered for various healthcare and educational projects, and has had her research published. Manal brings her passion of art and building into her everyday. During her free time, she loves to travel, meet new people, and experience other cultures. Engaging with people from different schools of thought helps her remain open to emerging ideas and practical design solutions.
