Lauren’s design sensibility is grounded in context. For her, an architect’s role is to work with a city’s layers of history, translating what is there to adapt and grow urban landscapes authentically. This is particularly important as society and technology evolves at ever-increasing speeds. She is committed to site-specific design and diversity of experience — a foundation for her growth as a designer and leader. While earning her BArch at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Lauren studied abroad in Switzerland and Rome where she explored the role of ancient architecture in modern society and how cities evolve over time. An avid traveler, she sees exploration as a way to connect with cultures, learning about how particular societies inform their built environments and create a sense of place.
A native Californian in our New York studio, Lauren was drawn to the city because of its energy and opportunity. Her collaborative, inclusive approach aligns closely with WRNS’ culture, and she hopes to support the studio’s growth with her own unique blend of east and west coast sensibilities. She joins WRNS after serving as a Architectural Design Professional working on Coach’s Hudson Yards headquarters.
