Kevin joined WRNS Studio in early 2019 bringing 30+ years of architectural experience with an expertise in mixed-use and multi-family development projects. He has designed and managed multiple projects in the Bay-area, spanning multi-family housing, retail, restaurants, child care, and community centers. In addition, he has worked on numerous sustainable buildings including projects that achieved LEED for Homes Pilot Program and LEED for Homes Platinum certifications. Kevin’s passion for creative problem-solving is reflected in his approach to work. He merges human-centric design with technical aspects to come up with transformative architectural solutions that address density issues, site challenges, and client and neighborhood needs.
In 2012, one of his projects, Armstrong Place and Senior Affordable Housing, was recognized with an ULI Award for Global Excellence. He’s been actively involved with the AIA for 23+ years and is a member of the advisory group for the AIA National Committee on Design. Passionate about his profession and dedicated to his craft, shortly after moving to Hawaii in 2016, he founded the AIA Honolulu Housing Committee in order to promote the development of safe, attractive, attainable housing.
Kevin is a licensed architect in California and Hawaii. He received is Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Oregon. He will be dividing his time between WRNS’ San Francisco and Honolulu offices. When he’s not striving to build a better world, you’ll find him biking to and from work or fly fishing in the ocean for bonefish
