Jessica’s robust experience has straddled design and management of large scale building projects for some of the most notable architecture firms. She cut her teeth working for the San Francisco and London offices of SOM, gaining a deep understanding of design and documentation methodologies. Her next stop brought her to Rotterdam and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) under the direction of Rem Koolhaas. Jessica settled in the Bay Area to open her own firm, Rothschild Schwartz Architects, and to support the next wave of architects by lecturing at the University of California, Berkeley and California College of the Arts. Prior to joining WRNS Studio, she worked for the Bay Area modernist firm, Esherick, Homsey Dodge & Davis (EHDD) on cultural and higher education projects.
Jessica’s path to architecture began with a pair of Bachelor of Arts degrees – the first from Cornell University in Government and the second from San Diego State University in Painting and Printmaking. She attained her Masters in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley – winning the prestigious John K Branner Traveling Fellowship, Einser Prize, and University Fellowship. Jessica comes to WRNS to service some of our larger projects.
