Heloisa brings a passion for designing spaces that are both practical and creative. Heavily influenced by the precepts of Modernism, which her father practiced in her home city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, she continues to look for ways to harness functionality, biasing the qualities of space, proportion, and scale for which the human experiences. Her early guidance led her to model building and furniture design, then further tactile exploration using clay and sand to build foundation-free forms, ultimately sparking her own interest in architecture.
Heloisa has been involved with multiple phases of the design and building processes for large and small scale projects. Her interest in conceptual planning stems from a desire to balance the aesthetic potential of a project with the client’s programmatic needs. Heloisa’s portfolio includes structures with a variety of different construction materials: metal frame, wood, adobe, and rammed earth compounds for healthcare, workplace, commercial, and residential project typologies. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning at Faculdade de Belas Artes de Sao Paulo (Sao Paulo University of Fine Arts). Her recent experience includes set design at Apollo Arts, an interest that she continues to pursue in her spare time.
