Gabriel is a multifaceted designer who easily shifts between different phases and projects. Through architecture, he is able to blend his passion for physics, engineering, history, culture, painting, and drafting to create beautiful spaces that positively impact society.
Highly visual and technically skilled, Gabriel joined WRNS Studio in 2020 with five years experience working on large-scale multi-housing projects. Analytically-minded, he excels at devising design concepts that achieve client aspirations while meeting constrained budgets. At the studio, he collaborates with team members on design concepts, code analysis, schematics, and resolving design parameters for building engineering systems. Versatile, he’s as comfortable working on building layouts as he is selecting furniture, fixtures and equipment, and is adept at developing graphic content that communicates design intent.
Originally from Mexico, he earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, where he participated in an exchange program with SCI-Arc. Upon his return, he was awarded best thesis, and during his fifth year internship, won his first competition, cementing his love for the field. After graduation, he moved to the States to intern at SOM in San Francisco, parlaying his experience into a four-year tenure at BAR Architects. On the weekends, Gabriel likes to go to concerts, run in Golden Gate Park and the Marina, cycle in Marin, salsa dance around the Bay, and check out new restaurants and bars. When he’s not out and about, you’ll find him listening to music or reading in the comfort of his home.
