Fermin joins WRNS Studio as an Arizona transplant. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Built Environments from University of Arizona’s College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture. During his coursework, he studied the impacts of environmental design, planning, and management. Prior to relocating to San Francisco, he worked with Groupon, cultivating new business leads. And during his tenure at college, he interned at the City of Tucson’s Energy Office, as well as worked for the university’s scholarship and financial aid division.
At WRNS, he is focused on establishing an efficient work flow between architects, consultants, designers, and contractors, while managing the daily administrative duties of various teams and projects. Never afraid to roll up his sleeves and learn on the job, he brings a can-do attitude to the firm.
Driven by his passion for sustainable practices, Fermin is constantly thinking about how we can make existing buildings more environmentally-conscious. He often ponders the orientation of buildings and how sunlight and shading effect their performance. Currently, he is working on becoming LEED certified. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the city’s design and food culture, and getting accustomed to California living.
