Doug most enjoys his work when he’s knee deep in Design Development or Construction Documents, solving technical problems and working with his project team to execute a great design. His approach is a blend of humanism and technical acumen; when working in a Revit model, for instance, he thinks of the building as an experience rather than an object, from the overall design to the smallest detail.
If asked about himself, Doug would tell you it’s simple: he rides his bike, works, and takes care of his family. Though very serious about architecture, Doug is usually smiling — he loves what he does, and it shows. With 30 years of experience, he brings not only technical expertise, but a trademark ease and flexibility. Doug earned his Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
