Looking to integrate a human experience into the built environment, Calvin continues to apply scale and contrast to his work as a designer. Originally from Shenzhen China, he moved to the states to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota. He continued his studies at Washington University in St. Louis Master earning his Masters in Architecture. His thesis explored the amalgamation of typographies by considering the social engagement of shopper in a hybrid sports center / grocery store. Prior to joining WRNS Studio, Calvin interned at NBBJ Architects, CannonDesign, Sou Fujimoto Architects, and Goettsch Partners, and worked with Studio Link-Arc on many different projects, including the China Pavilion for Expo Milano 2015, the Shenzhen Bay Gallery, and multiple design competitions.
