For Andy, architecture is an act of building and sustaining relationships. He guides users through an exploratory design process that helps him understand the root of their design challenge, allowing him to deliver responsive, sustainable buildings. A strong commitment to environmental stewardship has driven Andy to work with firms at the vanguard of deep green design throughout his decades-long career. The result has been a highly diverse and intentional body of work, including sustainable homes, environmental education centers, community centers, and adaptive re-use projects. The spaces Andy designs are deeply considered and delivered with precision and humility.
Andy earned his Master of Architecture at UC Berkeley and his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, volunteering with housing organizations, and exploring the outdoors.
