An architect dedicated to innovation and sustainability, Anannya enjoys exploring possibilities for greater amalgamation between sustainability and design. Representative of her approach to architecture is her AIA COTE Top Ten Award for Students for “Bazaar 324” project. This multi-dimensional project embraced the re-use of an old warehouse district in downtown Memphis with net zero design. Anannya is equally interested in the anthropological facets of architecture and unifies her design approaches through a holistic perspective and cultural understanding of the people and community she is designing for. She has established a commitment to advancing sustainable and regenerative design solutions and processes through juror participation at AIA Cote for Students, client and community education and through her desire to advance post-user research.
Anannya earned a Master of Architecture and a minor in Sustainable Design from Iowa State University, where she received the Edward Allen Student Award. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from the India Education Society, India.
